Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 07/29/2015

Receipts: 3419    Last Week: 4977    Year Ago: 4507

Compared to last week: Feeder steers steady to 2.00 lower on few comparable sales. Due to limited number of receipts no trend established for feeder heifers or steer and heifer calves. Quality was mostly plain to average, with the flesh conditions of cattle coming off grass in the buyers favor. Scattered rain and storms are in the forecast to close out the week, bringing some much needed relief to the hot temperatures. Demand was moderate to good for all classes. Supply included 90 percent over 600 lbs and 30 percent heifers.

Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: Calves: 360-400 lbs 227.50-297.50; 445-500 lbs 260.00-275.00; 525-600 lbs 239.00-260.00; 600-650 lbs 211.00-222.00;
Yearlings: 655-700 lb 223.00-230.00; 700-800 lbs 213.50-229.00; 800-900 lbs 201.25-215.50; 925-925 lbs 195.25-199.00, thin fleshed 207.00.
Medium and Large 1-2: 575-600 lbs 233.00-234.00; 640-700 lbs 215.75-228.50, thin fleshed 223.00; 700-800 lbs 215.00-224.00, calves 204.00; 800-875 lbs 203.00-207.75, thin fleshed 208.40-212.00; 900-940 lbs 193.50-200.25.
Medium and Large 2: lot 675 lbs 220.00; 750-775 lbs 213.50, thin fleshed 218.50; lot 850 lbs 193.50; 910 lbs 191.00.


Feeder Bulls: Medium and Large 1: 450-500 lbs 257.50-275.00; 550-600 lbs 216.00-225.00; lot 625 lbs 211.00.
      

Feeder Heifers: Medium and Large 1: 375-400 lbs 271.00-275.00;415-500 lbs 236.00-259.00; 550-600 lbs 223.00-234.00; 600-700 lbs 213.50-224.00, fleshy 213.50; 700-800 lbs 194.00-210.25; 845-900 lbs 180.00-189.00, thin fleshed 194.00, fleshy 170.00.
Medium and Large 1-2: 525-550 lbs 225.00-227.00; 615-700 lbs 208.00- 217.00; 700-800 lbs 185.00-196.50.
