Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 07/15/2015

Receipts: 5770    Last Week: 4963    Year Ago: 5355

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 2.00 to 5.00 lower. No trend established for feeder heifers or calves due to limited number of comparable sales; however, a lower undertone was noted on both. Summer has finally arrived with temperatures in the upper 90'scausing heat advisories throughout the state. Quality was plain to attractive. Demand was moderate to good for all classes. Supply included 71 percent over 600 lbs and 43 percent heifers.

Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: Calves: 445-450 lbs 287.00-292.00, fancy 307.50; 500-535 lbs 270.00-287.00; 550-575 lbs 257.50-259.00; 615-650 lbs 224.00-242.00; 650-700 lbs 218.00-220.00; 725-775 lbs 208.00-216.00; Yearlings: 625-700 lb 230.00-247.00; 725-800 lbs 214.00-228.00; 800-900 lbs 207.50-217.50; 925-975 lbs 197.50-212.00; 1025-1100 lbs 185.25-194.00; 1125 lbs 183.25.
