Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 08/12/2015

Receipts: 3520    Last Week: 2896    Year Ago: 2835

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold mostly steady, with exception of 700-800 lb steers 2.00 to 3.00 higher. No trend available again this week for feeder heifers or steer and heifer calves due to light receipts. Quality was plain to attractive. Cool weather has moved across the state bringing unseasonal temperatures and relief from the last few weeks high heat indexes. Demand was moderate to good for all classes. Supply included 88 percent over 600 lbs and 22 percent heifers.
