Oklahoma Farm Bureau Applauds Sixth Circuit Court Stay of WOTUS Implementation by EPA
Sun, 11 Oct 2015 06:52:36 CDT
On Friday, the U.S. Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals issued a temporary nationwide stay preventing implementation of the Environmental Protection Agency's Waters of the United States rule. Below is a statement from Oklahoma Farm Bureau President Tom Buchanan.
"Oklahoma Farm Bureau today applauds the decision of a federal court to block the EPA's burdensome Waters of the U.S. rule, which creates unnecessary regulations and burdens on our farm and ranch members across the state.
"We appreciate Sen. Jim Inhofe, chairman of the U.S. Senate Environmental and Public Works Committee, who has worked tirelessly to protect farmers, ranchers and landowners across the country from the EPA's endless attempts to gain power and jurisdiction.
"As Oklahoma's largest general agriculture organization, we will continue to fight against the EPA and unreasonable government interference."
