Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 11/02/2015

Actual Receipts: 8,617   Last Monday: 7,500   Year Ago Monday: 7,942

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold steady to 2.00 lower in a light test. No trend established for feeder heifers due to limited number of comparable sales. Weaned steer and heifer calves suitable for wheat pasture sold mostly 5.00 to 10.00 higher; all other calves mostly steady.Demand moderate to good for all classes. Cooler temperatures and much needed moisture swept across the state bring several inches rain. Quality plain to average, few attractive calves. Supply included 51 percent over 600 lbs. and 36 percent heifers.
