Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 01/13/2016


Receipts: 8109   Last Week: 6950    Year Ago: 5612

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 8.00-10.00 lower, except 600-650 lbs sold 2.00 higher. Steer calves sold 5.00-10.00 lower, most decline under 400 lbs. Heifers over 550 lbs 6.00-10.00 lower; under 550 lbs sold mostly steady. Offerings included a very nice presentation of wheat grazed yearlings all selling with very good demand. The recent snowfall in the central Oklahoma region, found many of the cattle coming from grow yards carrying muddy hides. Supply included 68 percent offeeders over 600 lbs and 37 percent heifers.
