Wed, 31 Aug 2016 14:55:12 CDT
The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation will host a Fall Grazing Workshop from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at the Dixon Water Foundation Betty and Clint Josey Pavilion, located at 5190 County Road 398 in Decatur, Texas.
This workshop, which is open to the public, is designed to assist agricultural producers in improving their pastures and grazing management skills. "This one-day workshop will help seasoned producers refresh their management skills," said Hugh Aljoe, producer relations manager. "It will also assist new ranchers in developing proper grazing management strategies to enhance both ecologic and economic sustainability."
During the workshop, the Dixon Water Foundation ranch managers and Noble Foundation consultants will discuss and demonstrate adaptive multi-paddock grazing using high stock densities in both fixed and flexible paddock design/construction, and multispecies livestock grazing.
The registration fee is $20, and lunch will be provided. For more information or to register, please visit www.noble.org/AgEvents, or contact Danielle Pacifico at 580-224-6376 or Maggie Scott at 580-224-6375.
