Oklahoma Cattlemen's Hats Are Off to NCBA Over News of China's Lift on US Beef Ban
Thu, 22 Sep 2016 14:55:24 CDT
Earlier today, the Chinese government announced after 13 years, China intends to lift the ban on US beef imports. The Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association released the following statement in reference to this development.
"This is great, no, outstanding news for Oklahoma cattle ranchers. Exports are so important to the cattle market and China has the potential to be a major market. Our hats off to NCBA for their work to make this happen and their continued work to finalize the protocols. If we are able to couple this great news with passage of TPP this fall, the cattle market would be set for a much needed positive lift."
