Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 04/10/2017

   Actual Receipts: 8,209     Last Week: 6,334    Year ago: 7,947

    Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 2.00-5.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves 3.00-6.00 higher on a lighter test. Demand good to very good, trade active. Quality mostly average to attractive. Speculation on China lifting the ban on U.S. beef imports became official news this morning. High winds have moved through the trading area this weekend, bringing along warm spring temperatures. Thunderstorms are expected later in the week. Feeder supply included 60 percent Steers, 39 percent Heifers, and 1 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 70 percent.
