Oklahoma National Stockyards Reports Higher Undertone for Calf Trade in Mid Session Report Oklahoma National Stockyards - Oklahoma City, OK
Livestock Auction Report for Monday, 1/22/2018

Receipts for this week- 9,750

Week Ago- 8,292

Year Ago- 12,264

*** Mid-Session ***

Compared to last week: Feeder steers 600-850 lbs. steady to 3.00
lower, 850-1000 lbs. lightly tested so far. Feeder heifers mostly steady
to 3.00 higher on a limited test so far. Steer calves have limited weight
ranges to compare to so far but a higher undertone noted.   Heifer calves
unevenly steady. Demand moderate to good. Quality average to attractive.
Many larger loads than normal on offering today. Demand limited today due
to blizzard like conditions mainly in Nebraska and also other Northern
states causing feedlots there to not need any orders filled to avoid
cattle pots being stranded on roads up there. Feeder cattle supply
included 69 percent Steers, 0 percent Dairy Steers, 30 percent Heifers,
and 1 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 76 percent.
