Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association to Host Wildfire Assistance Information Meetings in WoodwardFri, 20 Apr 2018 10:00:05 CDT
The Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association is honored to work with several different entities to co-host two information and assistance meetings for folks who have been impacted by the wildfires.
On Monday, April 23rd beginning at 6:30 at the Woodward Church of Christ, OCA is partnering with the Memorial Road and Woodward churches of Christ for an informational meeting for families that have sustained damage or loss to their residential homes. The meeting will focus on how to communicate with your insurance company and adjuster.
On Tuesday, April 24th beginning at noon at the Woodward High Plains Technology Center, OCA is cooperating with USDA-FSA and the OSU Extension Service for a meeting that will focus on FSA and NRCS programs and disaster assistance. The meeting will also feature information about collection and dissemination of supplies (hay, fencing, etc) and how to apply for the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Foundation relief funds.
“OCA is providing a cheeseburger meal at both meetings free to attendees. The meetings are designed to be informal and informative and are free for people impacted by the wildfires,” said Michael Kelsey, Executive Director of the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Association. “There will be no marketing or sales pitches just good information for folks to utilize as they make decisions and move forward from these devastating fires. OCA invites everyone who has been affected by the wildfires to attend and receive the free information.”
