Note Change in Location: Governor's Excellence in Agriculture Awards Now at State Capitol - May 9Thu, 03 May 2018 16:58:47 CDT
The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry (ODAFF) has announced a location change for the Governorís Excellence in Agriculture Awards ceremony. The event will be held at 2:30 p.m., May 9 in Senate Room 535 at the state Capitol.
We encourage you to attend the Governorís Excellence in Agriculture Awards hosted by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and sponsored by the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives at the state Capitol. The recipients are: Keith Kisling of Burlington, Governorís Outstanding Achievement in Agriculture Award; Jimmy Kinder of Walters, Governorís Agriculture Environmental Stewardship Award; Randy Gilbert of Tecumseh, Governorís Outstanding Public Service in Agriculture Award; and Larry Watkins of Stillwater will posthumously be recognized with the Governorís Outstanding Legacy in Agriculture Award.
The event was previously scheduled to be held at the Oklahoma Association of Electric Cooperatives, however, the location has changed to the state Capitol.
With the possible adjournment of the Legislature, Ag Day at the state Capitol events including the vendor fair, previously scheduled for earlier in the day, have been cancelled.
