Oklahoma Farmers & Ranchers Association Offers Plant ID and Grazing Management WorkshopTue, 26 Jun 2018 11:22:45 CDT
The Oklahoma Farmers and Ranchers Association (OFRA), in collaboration with the Oklahoma Conservation Commission (OCC) and USDA-Natural Resources Conservation Service, is hosting a Plant ID and Grazing Management Workshop on June 29th and 30th in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
The two day workshop will feature three sessions that cover plant identification, field site visits to compare various conservation practices, and a discussion soil health principles and practices. Scheduled speakers include OCC Soil Health Scientist Greg Scott and OCC Soil Health Specialist Blane Stacy.
"This workshop will provide valuable information for anyone looking to apply conservation practices on their land. We are pleased to help our friends at OFRA with this workshop by sharing our knowledge on conservation and soil health," said Oklahoma Conservation Commission Executive Director Trey Lam.
