Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves traded 3.00-6.00 higher with yearlings 2.00-4.00 higher. Demand was good on a moderate supply. No surprises this month on the USDA's Cattle On Feed Report as the numbers came in as expected. Inventories were reported at 104 percent with Placements and Markings near 101 percent of a year ago. The future boards kept their gains from last week and with record beef exports, buyers remain optimistic. Feeder cattle supply included 47 percent Steers, 1 percent Dairy Steers, 40 percent Heifers, and 12 percent Bulls. Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 47 percent.
