Integrity Beef Alliance to Host Seminar to Show Producers How to Boost Their Production Efficiency

Mon, 27 Aug 2018 11:43:02 CDT

Integrity Beef Alliance to Host Seminar to Show Producers How to Boost Their Production Efficiency Cow-calf producers can boost their production efficiency by joining the Integrity Beef Alliance, which simplifies management decisions and increases the marketability of calves.

Cattle producers will have the opportunity to learn more about the Integrity Beef Alliance during an Introduction to Integrity Beef Seminar from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Noble Research Institute Pavilion. Noble Research Institute consultants will discuss the two Alliance programs, a terminal calf program and a replacement female program, as well as record-keeping and member benefits. Current Alliance members will also share their perspectives during a Q&A time.

The Integrity Beef Alliance program, which the Noble Research Institute established in 2000, is a comprehensive beef production system founded on best management practices. The Alliance aims to produce high-quality, uniform, preconditioned calves that meet the needs of the next supply chain owner and ultimately consumers while improving returns for ranchers through value-added traits. Members typically see at least a 50-pound increase in weaning weights and even higher sale weight advantages compared with their own herds before they entered the program.

“Integrity Beef emphasizes progressive, sustainable management methods; ranch stewardship; and humane care for all livestock,” said Robert Wells, Ph.D., Noble Research Institute livestock consultant and Integrity Beef Alliance executive director. “Large and small ranches benefit equally from participating in the Integrity Beef Alliance. Through uniform and elevated standard management practices, Integrity Beef producers’ cattle far surpass industry standards for performance, quality, health and behavior.”

Membership is not geographically limited to any area of the country. Any producer who is willing to adhere to the quality standards and protocols of the Alliance is invited to inquire about admission. Members become participants, if they are not already, of the Noble Research Institute’s no-cost consultant program.

There is no registration fee for the seminar, and dinner will be provided. Preregistration is requested, as space is limited to the first 55 people who register. For more information and to preregister, please visit www.noble.org/events or call 580-223-5810.
