American Farm Bureau Announces USDA Secretary Sonny Perdue to Keynote Closing Session of 2019 Convention in New Orleans The American Farm Bureau Federation is pleased to announce U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will speak at the 100th AFBF Annual Convention & IDEAg Trade Show in New Orleans. Secretary Perdue will address Farm Bureau members during the closing general session, scheduled to take place Monday, January 14 at 11:15 a.m.

More than 6,000 farmers and ranchers will gather in New Orleans January 11-16, 2019, for the organizationís centennial annual convention. The large family reunion-type setting provides a platform for attendees to visit with one another, as well as exhibitors and sponsors. From general sessions to 50 workshops to special events like a country concert headlining multiple household names, there is something for everyone.
