From the Cattle Industry Convention of 2017- Ron Hays Talks Market Outlook with Randy Blach of Cattlefax

Sun, 05 Feb 2017 06:28:50 CST

Over the last three years, Randy Blach says the markets have been different than they have ever been before. Blach, the CEO of the Cattlefax organization, says we are "so much more global- we have to be able to trade" and that is at least one of the reasons that we have had more volitility in our cattle markets in these recent years than ever before. However, he says after the recent ups and downs that we seem to be "much more nromal" in early 2017 than we have seen for awhile and that should allow producers a chance to be profitable in the various segments of the business.

Blach sat down at the 2017 Cattle Industry Convention in Nashvile and talked with Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays about the ups and downs of these markets, the importance of being a low cost producer and where the industry may be going.
