From the Summer Cattle Industry Meetings- Ron Hays Talks Beef Checkoff with CBB Chairman Brett Morris

From the 2017 Cattle Industry Summer Business Meetings in Denver- Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays caught up with Brett Morris of Ninekah, Oklahoma. Morris is serving in 2017 as the Chairman of the Cattlemen's Beef Promotion Board, the group that is responsible for collecting and then investing the dollar a head beef checkoff. Checkoff money is spent in three areas- promotion, education and research- and Hays and Morris talk about the process that the Board of cattle producers is going through at this meeting to allocate millions of dollars into those three areas.
