Ron Hays and Alisa Harrison Talk the Revamping of the Beef, It's Whats for Dinner Brand
Thu, 15 Feb 2018 20:24:30 CSTAlisa Harrison is the Senior Vice President of Global Marketing and Research for the National Cattlemen's Beef Association- and spends here time in coordindating the digital marketing campaign and more for as the group's point person as a contractor for the Beef Checkoff. Harrison first joined the old NCA back in 1986- worked for cattlemen thru the merger that resulted in the NCBA- and then worked for the second Bush Administration as a key staffer for Ag Secretary Ann Veneman. She has an integral part of the USDA response to the Cow that Stole Christmas on December 23, 2003- when BSE was discovered in Washington state.
Harrison eventually came back to the organization that she loved a little over a year ago- the NCBA- and now directs the marketing efforts on behalf of cattle producers across the United States. Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays talked with Alisa just ahead of a presentation that she made to the Oklahoma Beef Council about the refurbishing of the iconic "Beef, It's Whats for Dinner" brand. They talked about that effort and more as it relates to connecting with today's consumer in a very competitive marketplace.
