Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays had the opportunity to sit down and talk with the Vice President of Agrigenomics for Neogen, Dr. Stewart Bauck. Dr. Bauck has been in the middle of the efforts to utilize genomics to predict the performance of beef cattle even before the beef animal genome was mapped.
Dr. Bauck says that we have effectively had the ability to predict the performance of beef animals for only about a decade- and in that time- the advancements have been nothing short of amazing.
