Timely Rains Cover the State with More Possibly on the Way

The Oklahoma Wheat needed a drink of water over the weekend, and a LOT of the state did get some rain. In fact, according to State Climatologist Gary McManus, 77 counties in Oklahoma did receive *Some* form of precipitation, but others didn’t get that much “77-county rains,” technically, that’s correct, although some got a lot, some unfortunately still got a little. But (and that’s a big “but”… you know who you are), like it says…everybody got at least a little. And we’ve
managed to largely reset these nasty-looking maps.”

McManus says we do have some other rain opportunities this week for rain, “We’re not talking massive flooding rains here (hey, Massive Flooding Rains was my band’s name in Finishing School!), but some get a lot, some get a little,
but all 77 counties get something.”

According to the forecast this week, there is a 50% chance of rain today across the state, and another chance of showers and thunderstorms moving in on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and throughout the weekend.
