U.S. Wheat Associates Weekly Harvest Report for June 21, 2024

Combines are moving again after heavy rain slowed HRW harvest progress from Texas to Kansas; 85 samples are now in
the lab. Record-breaking high temperatures are being set across the Eastern U.S., accelerating SRW harvest and crop
maturity. The HRS, SW and northern durum crops look promising under mostly favorable weather conditions.

Kansas wheat farmers have faced many weather challenges this harvest season, as this photo from KWCH in Wichita shows. According to Kansas Wheat, widespread rains shut down much of the hard red winter wheat (HRW) areas this week, but parts of eastern Kansas were still able to make progress.
