Peyton Hale says Cattle Demand is High

Listen to Ron Hays talk with Peyton Hale about the latest in the cattle markets.

Senior Farm and Ranch Broadcaster, Ron Hays, visits with Peyton Hale of Western Livestock Auctions as he talks about the latest in the markets and more. Established in 1995, Western has grown into a multi-generational family-owned and operated business and stands as a symbol of tradition, excellence, and a deep-rooted passion for the cattle industry. Western Livestock Auctions is located in Oklahoma City, Woodward, and Comanche.

The Oklahoma National Stockyards sold nearly twice as many cattle on Monday as they did the previous week, and he said that demand was good across the board. He thinks the recent rain will help keep numbers of incoming cattle steady.

The Comanche market was also good, especially for feeder cattle and calves.

“We got a nice rain down here, 1 – 3 inches, over the area, but this summer heat dries it up pretty quick and I think them cattle will be able to keep moving this week,” he said.

The Hales can be contacted through their Facebook page, Western Livestock Commission Company & Order Buying, Inc., or by calling their cell phone numbers which are available there.
