The 7 Day rain forecast looks positive across the state according to State Climatologist Gary McManus, "That 7-day forecast for rain shows the accumulations of two storm systems…the one hitting us right now through tomorrow, and again at the beginning of the weekend with another storm system down the road. "
McManus said Decent rain amounts have already started to show up across the state wit .49 in Hollis, .90 in Medicine park, 1.46 in Breckinridge, 1.41 in Hinton, and .78 in Medford.
McManus says if you haven't gotten any rain yet, there's still time for Rain to Spread NorthWest. The Weekend storm expected may be a bit more iffy as its at least 4-5 days out.
McManus says the seasons are finally changing, "With the current storm system moving through and it's associated cold front, we will see a longer stretch of actual fall weather, not the "few days of fall followed by bursts of summer" we've gotten used to. The drought has gotten used to that as well, increasing in intensity with each stretch of unusual warmth. We had one brief interlude with fall last week, but now we get an extended period of highs mostly in the 60s and lows in the 40s."
Keep in mind the Panhandle is under a freeze watch tomorrow morning, even though temps got to freezing in that area last week.
