2015 Tulsa State Fair Grand Champion Barrow Shown by Hunter Green of Wellston FFA

2015 Tulsa State Fair Grand Champion Barrow Shown by Hunter Green of Wellston FFA





The Grand Champion Barrow at the 2015 Tulsa State Fair Junior Livestock Show was shown by Hunter Green of the Wellston FFA. Hunter had the Champion Duroc in the 2015 show. The Reserve Grand Champion Barrow was the Champion in the Hampshire breed- shown by Jayme McMasters of Depew FFA.


The 2014 Grand Champion Barrow was shown by Delynna Beard of the El Reno FFA- her barrow was sold last October for $12,950.


Hunter's Grand Champion Barrow will be the second animal to sell in the Tulsa State Fair Junior Livestock Show Auction and Gala, to be held on Thursday afternoon at 5:00 PM. The Reserve Barrow will be the seventh animal to sell on Thursday afternoon.


Eight Breeds and Categories made up the Market Hog Competition in 2015. The Champions and Reserves in each category include:


Berk:

Champion- Sadie Varner, Bristow 4-H

Reserve- Cooper Phillips. Central High FFA


Chester:

Champion- Tanner Lyday, Colbert FFA

Reserve- Kenney Taylor, Paden FFA


Duroc:

Champion- Hunter Green , Wellston FFA

Reserve- Ory Forehand, Elgin 4-H


Poland:

Champion- Ethan Norman, Davenport FFA

Reserve- Gavin Straka, Canadian County 4-H


Spot:

Champion- Austin Woods, Morrison FFA

Reserve- Anna Jeffrey, El Reno FFA



York:

Champion- Paden Jackson, Mt View Gotebo 4-H

Reserve- Rylee Simpson, Locust Grove FFA



Hamp:

Champion- Jayme McMasters, Depew FFA

Reserve- Kaid Reininger, Newcastle FFA



Crossbred:

Champion- Jayme McMasters, Depew FFA

Reserve- Garrison Straka, Canadian County 4-H
