Replacement Heifers Available at OCA Fall Cattle DriveMon, 19 Oct 2015 14:47:50 CDT
The Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association (OCA) wants to invite anyone seeking quality replacement females for their beef cattle herd to attend the 16th Annual OCA Fall Cattle Drive. The sale is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 29 at the Oklahoma Beef Incorporated Bull Test Facility 8 miles west of Stillwater, Okla. on Highway 51.
"This year, the OCA Fall Cattle Drive is held in conjunction with the OBI Fall Bull Sale and the OCA quarterly board of director's meeting", said Charlie Swanson, OCA President. The OCA Board meeting starts at 9 a.m., lunch is served at 11 a.m. , the OBI Bull sale will start at noon immediately followed by the OCA Fall Cattle Drive.
According to Swanson, the Fall Cattle Drive started as most OCA events do, to offer a service to OCA members.
"This special auction is not a production sale for large commercial ranches, but rather a tool for OCA members to showcase the improvements they have made in their commercial cattle and help them earn a premium for their hard work," Swanson said.
OCA Board of Director's Meeting is open to all OCA members.
The OCA represents more than 5,600 Oklahoma ranching families. The OCA exists to support and defend the state and nation's beef cattle industry.
