Republican Leader Thompson Welcomes Julia Letlow, Ph.D. to Agriculture Committee

Republican Leader Thompson Welcomes Julia Letlow, Ph.D. to Agriculture Committee Today, the House Republican Conference ratified Congresswoman Julia Letlow, Ph.D. (LA-05) to serve on the House Committee on Agriculture. Following the announcement, Republican Leader Glenn 'GT' Thompson (PA-15) issued the following statement:

"I am honored to welcome Congresswoman Letlow to the House Agriculture Committee. She will be an invaluable addition to our team, and I know she will be a faithful servant of the people and fierce advocate for farm families and rural communities-not only in Louisiana, but nationwide."

"Having seen first-hand the hard work of our farmers and the importance the agriculture industry plays in Louisiana’s Fifth Congressional District, I am honored to have a seat on the House Agriculture Committee," said Congresswoman Letlow. "I look forward to being an advocate for our farmers, ranchers, and foresters as we begin the work to write the next Farm Bill.”

Congresswoman Letlow joins the following Republican freshman of the 117th Congress on the House Agriculture Committee:
