Beef Producers Seek New Promotion Opportunities And Will Sponsor NASCAR Race In February

Beef producers will be taking advantage of a new opportunity to promote their product in early 2021 said Stillwater, Okla., rancher Clay Burtrum.
Burtrum is vice chairman of the Federation of State Beef Councils, and he was recently interviewed by Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays.
With this pandemic we're seeing new opportunities, Burtrum said.
One of the new opportunities is sponsoring a NASCAR event.
The green flag will drop Saturday, Feb. 13 on the Beef. It's What's For Dinner 300 race in Daytona, Fla.
It's part of the Xfinity race series and is their big race of the year to open the season, Burtrum said.
The race is just one day ahead of the iconic Daytona 500 which should draw even more attention to the Beef. It's What's For Dinner 300.
We will have a huge radio and TV audience including many of those involved with producing and transporting our product, he said.
This is really a collaborative partnership between the state beef councils and the federation, Burtrum said.
The work to pull off this new beef promotion is another example of why Burtrum has invested so much time and effort in the beef industry.
I was trained early in my career to earn to leave a legacy, Burtrum said.
I have daughters that someday want to go back into the business or work in public policy, he said.
I want to give back to the younger generation. We have to leave a legacy and show them there is something for them go back home to, Burtrum said.
