GrowSafe Systems & Noble Foundation Host Mini Seminars at Cattle Industry Convention Trade Show

Tue, 26 Jan 2016 18:06:10 CST

GrowSafe Systems & Noble Foundation Host Mini Seminars at Cattle Industry Convention Trade Show The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation and GrowSafe Systems are working together to inform producers at the Cattle Industry Convention going on in San Diego, California. The Noble Foundation and GrowSafe Systems have booth #3429 in the Trade Show. Noble Foundation Producer Relations Manager Hugh Aljoe said this is an opportunity to tell producers about this GrowSafe technology that allows producers to measure feed and forage efficiency.

By leveraging the resources with GrowSafe, Aljoe feels they are able to get more information out to producers. At the convention, together they will host mini seminars on Wednesday and Thursday. Topics include everything from production technologies to cattle marketing apps, how to work with multiple generations on the ranch and using social media. Aljoe said they know the future is evolving and technologies are a part of the future, so want to look at some of these innovations and also get feedback from producers.

Radio Oklahoma Ag Network Farm Director Ron Hays caught up with Aljoe at the CIC in San Diego. Click or tap on the LISTEN BAR below to listen to the full interview.

Aljoe will also discuss the results from their meetings with strategic producers. In the fall of 2015, the Noble Foundation invited innovative producers to share their needs and concerns about what the future of farming and ranching might look like. They discussed everything from cattle production, to no-till production systems and cover crops. In these meetings, he said the Noble Foundation wanted to make sure they were looking at research that would utilized by producers. They also learned producers want to be involved with where the industry is going and producers expressed their desire to talk with researchers as they are planning their projects, so they also know about what's coming.

Take a quick break, pull up a chair and listen to some of these presenters talk about technology, ranching and the beef business. Contribute to the discussion and you'll go home with the NCBA 2016 T-Shirt. The back of the shirt is pictured above. Also, the Noble Foundation's blue cows are back. If you find one of the Noble Foundation blue cows, bring him to Booth #3429. You will be entered for a daily drawing for an IPAD Mini and the Grand Prize of an IPAD pro.
