Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 02/01/2016

Actual Receipts: 9,128    Last Week: 9,871    Year Ago: 4,300

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers over 750 lbs traded mostly 1.00-3.00 lower. Steer and heifer calves sold steady to 3.00 lower, instances of 5.00 lower on 500 lb cattle. Demand moderate. Quality average with several drafts of thin fleshed cattle. Continued warmer weather has encouraged more producers to market cattle again this week. Supply included 71 percent over 600 lbs; 40 percent heifers.
