Abigail Jones of Hydro-Eakley 4-H Wins With Her AOB in OYE Futurity Heifer Show

The 2016 Oklahoma Youth Expo Futurity Heifer Show was held on Saturday afternoon, with Abigail Jones of Hydro-Eakley 4-H grabbing top honors. Jones was showing her AOB heifer that was purchased a year ago in the OYE Futurity Heifer Sale. All of the heifers showing this year were purchased a year ago, raised by the 4-H or FFA member and made the return trip to Oklahoma City to compete in this contest.

Abigail, who is pictured here, won a check for $500.00 for being selected as the top heifer in the Futurity.

Topping the Shorthorn Class in the Futurity was Kelsey Bonds of Blanchard FFA while the Emalieigh Parks of Empire 4-H won the Commercial Heifer Class for the Futurity.

We have pictures of several of the exhibitors showing in this contest in our FLICKR photo album.

The 2016 Futurity Heifer Sale was held on Saturday evening, with those females eligible to show at the 2017 OYE Futurity event.

Already posted are more than 400 photos from the 2016 OYE, you can check them out on our FLICKR page that is located here. Exhibitors and their families are welcome to download their favorite pictures from our 2016 OYE Flickr Album.
