Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 03/30/2016

Receipts: 4958    Last Week: 5892    Year Ago: 6770

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to 2.00 lower with exception of steers over 900 lbs trading 3.00 to 5.00 lower. Steer and heifer calves were lightly tested, however a lower undertone was noted. Demand moderate for feeder cattle. Supply light to moderate. Forecasts of severe weather and chances of rain discouraged livestock movement. Supply mostly attractive to average quality. Supply included 79 percent over 600 lbs; 40 percent heifers.
