Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 04/27/2016

Receipts: 8593          Last Week: 3834         Year Ago: 4306

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers sold 2.00-4.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 700 lbs not well tested from last week but a higher undertone was noted. Steer calves steady. Heifer calves not well tested but few 5 weights 5.00 higher. Receipts included several heavy weight cattle. Heavy rain across the state did not discourage cattle movement. Quality average to attractive. Demand moderate to good for feeder cattle. Supply included 90 percent over 600 lbs and 38 percent heifers.
