Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 04/13/2016

Receipts: 9587    Last Week: 9748    Year Ago: 4000

Compared to last week: Feeder steers sold 2.00-4.00 lower. Feeder heifers mostly steady to weak. Steer and heifer calves sold with a slightly higher undertone were comparable sales were noted. Rain andthunderstorms are forecasted for the remainder of the week and into the weekend with expectations of up to 3 inches to fall in Western Oklahoma.   Demand remains moderate for feeder cattle. Supply attractive to mostly plain in quality. Supply included 86 percent over 600 lbs; 35 percent heifers.

   Feeder Steers: Medium and Large 1: Calves 325-385 lbs 220.00-222.50, thin fleshed 227.00-257.50; 400-475 lbs 195.00-211.00, thin fleshed 171.00, fleshy 185.00; 500-550 lbs 185.00-193.00; pkg 580 lbs 177.00; 600-700 lbs 153.00-163.00; pkg 735 lbs 154.50; Yearlings: 600-650 lbs 170.00-181.50, thin fleshed 182.00; 650-700 lbs 165.50-167.00; 700-750 lbs 154.00-163.50, thin fleshed 164.50; 750-800 lbs 151.00-153.50, thin fleshed 158.00; 800-850 lbs 144.25-151.00; 850-900 lbs 137.00-146.00; 900-1000 lbs 132.00-138.80; 1000-1100 lbs 127.00-133.25; pkg 1145 lbs 126.00.
