Feeder Cattle Auction for 04/18/16

Receipts: 6130    Week Ago: 7474    Year Ago: 5163

Compared to last week, steer calves 8.00 to 12.00 lower, yearling steers 5.00 to 8.00 lower, heifer calves and yearling heifers 3.00 to 7.00 lower. Demand moderate to light, supply moderate. Live Cattle and Feeder Cattle futures closed limit down. Not many Buyers interested in the soft, fleshy calves. The feeder supply included 51 percent steers, 42 percent heifers, 07 percent bulls, with 37 percent over 600 lbs.
