Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 04/11/2016

Actual Receipts: 7,947   Last Monday: 6,736   Year Ago Monday: 8,024

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers over 700 lbs steady; feeder steers and steer calves under 700 lbs 2.00-4.00 lower. Feeder heiferssteady to 2.00 lower. Heifer calves 2.00-4.00 lower. Demand good for feeder cattle. Demand moderate for calves with several short weaned or un-weaned calves available. Quality plain thru attractive. Several crossbred cattle included. Feeder cattle in medium to fleshy conditions. Rains fell overnight with some very beneficial rains falling in the southwest. More rain is in the forecast for the weekend.
