Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 05/18/2016

Receipts: 11,449    Last Week: 11,243    Year Ago: 8,265

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers sold steady. Steer and heifer calves not well tested due to limited comparable sales. Demand good for feeder cattle. Graze out wheat pasture mostly played out. Cattle performed well and many heavy weight cattle available. Quality and conditions average to attractive. Unusually cool temperatures have swept across the state. Supply included 91 percent over 600 lbs and 42 percent heifers.
