Feeder Cattle Auction for 05/16/16

Compared to last week, steer calves steady to 3.00 higher, heifer calves under 500 lbs 5.00 to 10.00 lower, over 500 lbs 1.00 to 3.00 lower, following last week's sharply higher trade. Yearlings steady to 2.00 higher. Demand moderate to good, supply moderate. Slaughter steers and heifers last traded sharply higher, Box Beef is higher, are couple positive notes for the feeder cattle trade. The feeder supply include 58 percent steers, 35 percent heifers, 08 percent bulls, with 51 percent over 600 lbs.
