Mark Your Calendar for the Upcoming Beef Improvement Federation Annual Convention
Wed, 04 May 2016 18:32:13 CDT
The annual Beef Improvement Federation convention is approaching, and Kansas State University Beef Cattle Extension Specialist Dr. Bob Weaber says the three-day event will target cow-calf and seedstock producers, as well as those interested in genetics improvement.
"BIF's mission is to promulgate performance testing strategies and methods and standardize those methods," he says. "An outgrowth of that really has been the BIF conference."
The conference will happen June 14-17, on the KSU campus in Manhattan, Kan. Attendees can expect to learn about a variety of topics, including improving the beef value chain, understanding consumer perceptions and analyzing advancements in genomics and genetic prediction.
