Feeder Cattle Auction for 05/9/16

Compared to last week, steer calves steady to 3.00 higher, heifer calves 7.00 to 12.00 higher, yearlings 4.00 to 6.00 higher. Demand good, supply moderate. Live Cattle and Feeder Cattle futures trading sharply higher, along with Slaughter steer and heifers trading 4.00 to 5.00 higher, helped stimulate the feeder cattle trade. The feeder supply included 56 percent steers, 38 percent heifers, 06 percent bulls, with 37 percent over 600 lbs.
