Feeder Cattle Narrative Report for 06/08/2016

Receipts: 8,641         Last Week: 6,205        Year Ago: 12,670

   Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers sold 1.00-3.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves not well tested but a higher undertone was noted. Demand moderate to good for feeder cattle. Quality and conditions average to attractive. Many heavier weight feeder cattle were available. Supply included 88 percent over 600 lbs and 39 percent heifers.

   Feeder Steers Medium and Large 1 Calves: 500-600 lbs 169.00-174.00, thin fleshed 175.00; 600-700 lbs 150.00-157.00; 725-750 lbs 140.00-144.00; Yearlings: 600-625 lbs 159.50-166.50, thin fleshed 161.00-169.00; 650-700 lbs 153.50-163.50; 700-750 lbs 150.00-155.10, thin fleshed 156.50; 750-775 lbs 147.50-150.00; 800-850 lbs 140.00-149.25, thin fleshed 151.50; 850-900 lbs 139.75-149.50; 900-1000 lbs 130.50-140-50; 1000-1100 lbs 123.50-132.50; 1100-1175 lbs 122.25-126.75.
   Medium and Large 1 and 2 Calves: pkg 400 lbs 183.00; 575-600 lbs 158.00-161.00, fleshy 146.50; pkg 800 lbs 133.50; Yearlings: 675-700 lbs 155.00-157.50; 700-750 lbs 145.75-152.00; few 775 lbs 130.00; 800-850 lbs 133.75-137.00, thin fleshed 140.50; 850-900 lbs 132.00-136.50; 900-1000 lbs 124.50-131.20, 1000-1075 lbs 125.25-129.50, thin fleshed 134.00; 1100-1125 lbs 124.50-125.00.
