OCA Encourages Members- Bring Your Ralgro Wheels to Norman for the 2016 Annual Convention
Tue, 05 Jul 2016 15:24:16 CDT
With the 2016 Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association Annual Convention less than three weeks away, the President of the OCA, Charlie Swanson, is encouraging cattle producers to participate again in the Ralgro "Wheels for Bucks" campaign. Swanson reminds OCA members that each Ralgro® (zeranol) wheel provides a $1 for the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association (OCA).
Swanson says "The Wheels for Bucks program and Ralgro deliver value to the producer in two ways- members benefit from the additional weight Ralgro adds to their calves and our association gains more cash resources."
For every wheel received during the OCA annual meeting, Merck Animal Health will give $1 to organization's special projects fund.
"Support from Merck Animal Health through the Wheels for Bucks program allows us to fund scholarships for cattlemen to attend events on the national level," says Swanson. "We're looking to break our record of returned Ralgro wheels in 2015."
The Wheels for Bucks program is a partnership between Merck Animal Health and participating state cattlemen's organizations. Members bring in their empty Ralgro wheels to their annual state meeting to help raise money for their association. Ralgro, a cattle implant from Merck Animal Health, helps the cattle industry sustainably produce more safe, quality beef by adding 20-35 pounds to calf weaning weights.
Don't forget to save your wheels and bring them to the Embassy Suites in Norman, Okla on July 21, 22 or 23. To learn more - click here for the OCA website.
