Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 7/11/2016

Receipts: 5,492    Last Reported(6/27/2016):    5,638    Year ago: 2,771

No sale last Monday, compared to two weeks ago, steer and heifer calves 2.00 to 5.00 higher, yearlings steady to 3.00 higher with the increase on 600 to 800 lb steers and 600 lb heifers. Demand good, supply moderate.   Live Cattle and Feeder Cattle futures closed sharply lower. Hogs and grains closed on the negative side. Feeder supply included 62 percent Steers, 1 percent Holstein Steers, 35 percent Heifers, and 3 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 61 percent.
