Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 10/17/2016

Receipts: 3,818    Week ago:    3,670    Year ago: 4,375

Compared to last week, steer calves sold 10.00-15.00 lower. Feeder steers were mostly 3.00-7.00 lower. Heifer calves traded mostly 7.00-10.00 lower with 550- 600 lbs steady. Feeder heifers sold 2.00-5.00 lower. Feeder cattle continues to see pressure from the lower futures and slaughter cattle market. Feeder supply included 57 percent Steers, 39 percent Heifers, and 4 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 38 percent.
