Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 10/19/2016

Receipts: 6,673    Week ago:    6,002    Year ago: 7,276

Compared to last week, Feeder steers and heifers sold steady to 2.00 lower. Steer and heifer calves 4.00-7.00 lower with exception of long weaned thin calves trading mostly steady. unseasonably warm temps have been the trend early in the week with a cool front in the forecast for the end of the week. Demand moderate to good, except for fleshy unweand calves trading with light demand. Quality average to attractive. Feeder supply included 50 percent Steers, 47 percent Heifers, and 3 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 67 percent.
