Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 10/31/2016

Receipts: 3,595    Week ago:    4,785    Year ago: 5,001

Compared to last week, steer calves steady, except 400 to 550 lbs steers 4.00 to 8.00 higher, heifer calves steady to 4.00 higher, yearlings steers 600 to 800 lbs and 600 lb heifers steady, steers over 800 lbs and heifers over 700 lbs steady to 4.00 higher. Demand moderate to good, supply moderate. Several more wean calves in the offering than in previous sales. Feeder supply included 49 percent Steers, 44 percent Heifers, and 7 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 39 percent.
