Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 11/07/2016

   Actual Receipts: 5,947    Week ago: 7,179    Year ago: 10,796

    Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers 1.00-3.00 lower. Demand good for long tailed yearling cattle, and light to moderate for heavy weight calves. Steer calves 2.00-5.00 higher. Heifer calves steady to 2.00 higher. Demand moderate too good for calves, especially light weight steer calves suitable for early wheat pasture. Quality average to attractive. Weather finally more fall like and light rain showers moving across the state leaving some much needed moisture. Slaughter cattle traded steady to weak, despite cattle futures declining the last 3 days of the week. Feeder supply included 64 percent Steers, 31 percent Heifers, and 5 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 60 percent.
