Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 11/9/2016

    The Oklahoma Quality Beef Network sale occurred today indicated by cattle that were commented "value added". Compared to last week, Feeder steers and heifers sold 3.00-4.00 lower. Demand decent for yearlings, lighter for heavyweight calves. Steer and heifer calves unevenly steady with exception to 60 day weaned calves bringing 6.00-7.00 higher. Demand good for calves, especially that of the lightweight variety meant for wheat pasture grazing. Recent moisture being the reason for the uptick in demand for weaned calves headed for areas of increasingly encouraging grazing quality conditions. Feeder supply included 63 percent Steers, 35 percent Heifers, and 2 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 58 percent.
