Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 11/14/2016

Receipts: 4,843    Week ago:    3,838    Year ago: 4,539

Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves under 400 lbs 8.00 to 15.00 higher, steer calves over 400 lbs 3.00 to 7.00 higher, heifer calves over 400 lbs steady to 2.00 higher, yearlings steady to 3.00 higher. Demand good, supply moderate. Several more wean-vac calves in the offering than in previous sales. Several 550 to 750 lb heifers returning to the ranch as replacement prospects. Feeder supply included 57 percent Steers, 0 percent Holstein Steers, 36 percent Heifers, and 7 percent Bulls. Feeder Supply over 600 lbs was 40 percent.
