Feeder Cattle Auction Report for 11/14/2016

   Actual Receipts: 8,713    Week ago: 5,947    Year ago: 7,371

   Compared to last week, Feeder steers steady to 5.00 higher. Feeder heifers 2.00-7.00 higher. Demand good for feeder cattle. Steer and heifer calves 2.00-9.00 higher, steer calves over 600 lbs 1.00-3.00 higher. Demand continues to be good for 60 day weaned calves. Quality average to attractive. Firmness in demand for lighter calves remains consistent due to a continuous need for calves fit for consuming extensive areas of desirable wheat pasture. Mild fall weather conditions continue to benefit grazing conditions. Feeder supply included 61 percent Steers, 2 percent Holstein Steers, 35 percent Heifers, and 2 percent Bulls.
